Joli Blon is a British women’s Cajun band who play stomping hits from the swamps of Louisiana. They take their name from a much-loved Cajun waltz. The band, which includes accordion player Lucy Vines,  Miriam Hogan (Flaky Jake) on guitar, and fiddler Fliss Premru (The Rosinators), join up with ace percussionists Pete Towler (Hackney Ramblers) on drums, and Cheryl Mcllroy (Rough Chowder) on rubboard ("frottoir") and triangle ("ti-fer") for their Cajun big band. A popular choice with party people and roots music lovers, their authentic up-tempo dance music - two-steps, waltzes and a touch of Cajun blues - has ensured full dance floors at gigs, community events, strike benefits and festivals from Louisiana to Tolpuddle, and recently got them an invitation to support The Quireboys at the 02 Islington.
